The Mideer GripRight Pencil Set is built to fix a child's pencil hold before it becomes a habit.
Three moulded grooves in the lime green grip mark where the thumb, index finger and middle finger belong, so the correct three-point hold falls into place in seconds rather than being corrected over and over. The barrel carries its weight low, which keeps the tip steady through long stretches of writing and colouring. Inside is a 2mm thickened lead core, far more pressure-resistant than a standard lead and hard for a heavy-handed beginner to snap, and a tube of ten spare leads comes in the set along with a lead sharpener that brings back a clean point in a few turns.
